The Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama has heard that private polling done in the final few days of the election shows a growing lead for Walker, especially in the final 2 days. It also shows a greater percentage of Walker’s voters saying they’re definitely going to vote for their choice than Barrett’s, and shows Walker winning a greater portion of Republicans than Barrett has of Democrats. Both of those findings are consistent with publicly available polling, and the latter is corroborated by today’s already-availale exit polls as well. Also encouraging for conservatives are findings that Walker holds a double-digit lead among independents and holds Barrett to a very narrow lead among women.
UPDATE: Polls also show Republican Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch holding a narrow lead over Democrat Mahlon Mitchell.
